Purpose of the Council

The Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council, Inc., is a non-profit corporation incorporated under the Statutes of the State of Nebraska. Membership is composed of two groups: 1) individuals who annually contribute $100 or more, and 2) corporations, businesses, foundations, and others who annually contribute $500 or more for support of the Nebraska LEAD Program. Anyone, any group, or any organization interested in leadership development, agriculture or related businsses are eligible to apply for membership in the organization.

All members are invited to an annual meeting where new officers of the Board of Directors are annually nominated and voted upon. Each board member is initially elected for a term of three years, and then may be re-elected for not more than one additional three-year term. Terms of the board are designed on a rotating basis to provide continuity. The 15-20 member Board of Directors, representative of all sectors of agriculture and all geographic areas of Nebraska, are responsible for conducting the business of the corporation. Meetings are scheduled well in advance and are held quarterly throughout the year.

The sole purpose of the Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council, Inc., is to conduct, manage, and control the affairs and business of the Council.
